Eric Dane of Grey's Anatomy fame recently checked into rehab for an addiction to prescription pain medication, reports Radaronline. In mid-June, Dane entered The Hills Treatment Center, a sober living residence in West L.A, as a "preventative measure."
Preventative measure? Celebrities check into rehab like they're getting an oil change. Entertainment is like the only industry where you can take a month long break from work because you think you might get an addiction to something....

Hollyscoop caught up with Vaughn at the 10th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball to ask him how he’s enjoying fatherhood.

The McSteamy couple, who just months ago were caught up in a bizarre threesome home video tape scandal, are showing a very different side in today’s article.
Eric Dane Sues over Nude Tape
The mag has the first pics of 2-month old Billie Beatrice Dane, whom Eric calls “beautiful. "When she came out, she was really alert and her eyes were open. The doctor gave her to her mom, and I was so ... you know, I was obviously very emotional."
Rebecca gave birth to the bundle of joy on March 3rd at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. She calls giving birth “an overwhelming moment -- probably the greatest moment in my life thus far. We felt so blessed. The moment we've been waiting for finally came."

It seems becoming parents has changed this couple, who once were known for their hard partying. “It changes how you look at things and how you feel about things,” Dane explains. “I like to think of myself as an artist -- but now I'm working for my kid. Now I'm a father. I've got a lunch pail, I go to work and I come home and I make sure my kid is taken care of, and I make sure my wife is take care of.”
"Childbirth is a miracle," he adds, "and we've created this life."

Gayheart checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and gave birth this afternoon. Eric was right by her side the entire time and was seen in sexy scrubs.
After the birth Eric excitedly called close friends and family members to give them the good news.
"They're both over the moon about it," a source close to the couple tells Hollyscoop exclusively.
"It just makes sense that I'm having a girl ... I don't know what it is, but I am excited it's a girl," Dane said recently about the baby girl.

Luckily, this news is happy news! We hear McSteamy is going to be the proud father of a baby girl. E! reports that Eric and Rebecca will be welcoming their bouncing baby girl in March, and just found out the sex.
Rebecca seems thrilled about the upcoming addition to the family. She recently told In Touch Weekly, "We've always wanted to be parents. I think Eric is going to be a wonderful dad, and hopefully I'll be a good mom. We're absolutely looking forward to it."
We hope those crazy days are behind them! Their fun partying nights are about to be replaced with diaper duty and feeding sessions. We hope they're ready for that!

Dane and Gayheart just filed a lawsuit against Gawker Media, LLC and journalist Mark Ebner over the video that shows the couple nude with Kari Ann Peniche.
Sources tell Radar that the suit alleges Ebner brought the tape to gossip site Gawker, which posted it last month. The defendants were served with a takedown notice the same day the tape was posted but the lawsuit states:
"In brazen disregard for Plaintiffs' legal rights and personal privacy, Gawker not only refused to comply...but went on to maliciously distribute an uncensored copy of the Video."
Dane and Gayheart registered the tape with the United States Copyright office. The lawsuit claims the couple has been damaged in excess of $1 million.
Wow! They take their home videos seriously! Maybe they should think twice before getting naked and shooting a bizarre video. Those things always have a way of landing on the internet.

According to Life & Style, Rebecca and husband Eric Dane were spotted in high spirits while on vacation at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, CA on August 21st.
Sources close to the couple tell the magazine that Eric and Rebecca have been trying to conceive for years now, and have been having trouble ever since they got married in 2004.
The source says, "Having a baby has been a top priority of the past six months. She turned down the role of Penn Badgley's mother on Gossip Girl because it was based in NYC and she didn't want to be away from Eric or travel that far.
"It was bad for her health. She also turned down a Hallmark movie and a Lifetime movie because she was trying to have a baby."
Wow! Gossip Girl is a huge role to turn down! Neither of the couple’s reps have commented on the supposed baby news, but congrats to them if it’s true!

Dane’s rep said the tape was "a private, consensual moment involving a married couple, shot several years ago, which was never intended to be seen by the public."
He continued, "Although the participants are nude, the tape is not a 'sex tape.' It is a private tape made for only my clients' personal use, and nobody has the right to exploit it. If anyone exploits the tape, they will be violating my clients' rights and will be exposed to significant liability."
That may be all well and good, but not in the eyes of the LAPD! The home video is now subject to a police investigation. Law enforcement officials released a statement to Radar saying:
“On July 30, 2009, an unnamed source provided the LAPD’s Detective Support and Vice Division, with a copy of a DVD. According to the source, the DVD contained images that could link celebrities engaging in illegal activity.
"The LAPD was in the process of reviewing the voluminous files contained on the DVD when the story was leaked to the media. No determination has been made as to whether or not the DVD contained any information that could be used for a criminal investigation.
Some of the information contained on the DVD included archived articles and photographs of porn stars and formally convicted madams, which could readily be found over the internet.
The LAPD will continue to review the DVD for potential evidence. Therefore, additional information about the contents of the DVD will be treated as confidential.”
We’re assuming the focus of the investigation is the possibility of drugs being involved, which is very likely.
The video was reportedly shot at Kari Ann Peniche’s home. Her mother spoke out yesterday, saying that she feared for the way her daughter had been living her life since moving to LA.
She said, “She's a good person but she's made some poor choices and has obviously been around the wrong people."
We guess you never really know what happens behind people’s closed doors!!

Dane's lawyer Marty Singer wants to make it clear that the "private" tape is not a sex tape, but a "nude tape" instead. Um...ok. Is that a new trend?

As Hollyscoop had previously reported, Eric, Rebecca and former beauty queen turned Hollywood madam Kari Ann Peniche were featured in a scandalous "nude tape" that hit the internet yesterday.
In the video the threesome, who appear to be high on something discusses their "porn names" and later Rebecca and Kari Ann are featured naked in a bathtub, talking gibberish about rubber ducks.
"My alter-ego name is Peter," Eric said, adding, "my dog growing up was called Cocaine, and I lived on Manor Drive, so I'm Cocaine Manor." At one point, Rebecca says she has to lie down because she's "so high.
