Real Housewives' Jacqueline Laurita: 'Teresa Giudace is Scum'

If you’re like me, and get this show mixed up with RuPaul’s Drag Race, you probably have no idea who any of these people are. I can only watch one Real Housewives franchise at a time, and I’m already dedicated to the sad sacks on RHONY. I don’t know if my soul can handle knowing about the petty problems of a whole new batch of women. But I guess we’ll find out…

So first off, cast member Melissa Gorga was rumored to be a stripper. She denied it, explaining that she bartended at a bikini bar while she was in college.

“My outfit was a tank top, shorts and sneakers. SORRY, no bubbies there,” the Real Housewife explained. Now, Jacqueline Laurita, another cast member, is outing the person who started the rumor—Teresa Giudace.

“Teresa told me that ‘rumor’ about Melissa when she first started the show. She wanted her out then. She knew. She plotted it. She played dumb on camera and even defended Melissa. Teresa is scum!” Jacqueline Tweeted.

All of this drama brings me back to one question I constantly ask myself about this series: why do these women hang out with each other?

"Someone desperately wants to knock me down and prove that I have something to hide," Gorga said. "I have been happily married to my husband for 7 years and we have three beautiful children. Even if I had been a dancer, I do not know why anyone would care 10 years later."

I don’t either. Then again, I also don’t know why anyone would care about two women fighting over a bottle of wine. Yet we do.

Forga’s former boss at Looker’s Gentleman’s club in Jersey told Us Weekly that the rumors were exaggerated.

“She was a bartender for a couple of months years ago,” he said. “Lookers was really upscale then too; it wasn’t like she was bartending in some hole in the wall.”

Oh, good. We can all sleep soundly now.

Reports have surfaced that Jacqueline Laurita has quit the show, which is probably the most normal decision anyone in that series has made thus far. I guess Laurita had her fill with Giudace’s drama. Which says a lot about Giudace, because a suicide didn’t even get one of these women to drop out, yet she can.
