Country Singer Randy Travis Found Naked & Arrested For DWI

Six months after his public intoxication arrest in February, country crooner Randy Travis was arrested for a DWI in Grayson County, Texas. This time he was wasted and in his birthday suit!

At approximately 11:28 p.m. on Tuesday night, Travis was driving a 1998 Pontiac Trans Am and drove off the side of the road and struck several barricades in a construction zone!

When Texas Highway Patrol arrived at the scene they found Travis drunk and totally naked! We're told Travis had to give him a “paper suit” when he got to the police station for booking.

Hollyscoop talked to Mark Tackett at the Texas Department of Public Safety wondering why Mr. Travis was naked or where he was driving from, but Mark tells us he was unsure where Travis was before he drunkenly got into his vehicle.

He refused a blood and breath test, but a search warrant was granted for a blood specimen which was taken at a nearby hospital. The results from the blood test won't be returned for several weeks, but according to Tackett it was obvious he was intoxicated.

Travis made threats to shoot and kill the Troopers working on the case which resulted in his arrest for driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor) and retaliation (felony).

His bond was set at $1,5000 for the DWI and $20,000 for the retaliation charges. They aren't joking about fines being doubled in construction zones.

He is booked at the Grayson County Jail for both charges and is expected to be released later today as soon as his bond is made.

As mentioned before, this isn’t Randy’s first run-in with alcohol and the law.

Back in February, he was busted for public intoxication when he was found boozing it up in front of a church. Hey man, if you’re gonna sin, do it at a church?

Randy Travis is most famous for penning the famous country track “Forever and Ever, Amen.”

Well, unless he plans on staying in prison “forever and ever” he better stop drinking and driving. Amen.
