Rachel Bilson. biography
Born on August 25, 1981, in Los Angeles, California, Rachel Bilson originally discovered her acting talent while attending Notre Dame High School. After graduating in 1999, Rachel attended Grossmont College before dropping out in part of her dad Danny Bilson, a writer and director, persuading her to take up acting professionally. Soon after, Rachel made her on-screen debut in the TV series 8 Simple Rules (2003).
That same year, Rachel got her big break playing Summer Roberts in the hit TV series The O.C. (2003 - 2007), which ultimately propelled her to stardom. Also during this time, the young rising star landed her first supporting role in the dramedy The Last Kiss (2006) with Zach Braff, prior to starring alongside Hayden Christensen in the sci-fi action flick Jumper (2008).
Rachel went on to make an appearance in the TV series How I Met Your Mother (2010 - 2013) before landing the lead role of Dr. Zoe Hart in the TV series Hart of Dixie (2011 - 2013).
The starlet's most recent completed project was the comedy The To Do List (2013).

Rachel started dating Adam Brody when they met on the set of The OC and carried on a three-year relationship. According to multiple sources, the two broke up because they "just grew apart."

Rachel and actor Hayden Christensen first met while co-starring in Jumper (2007) and began dating shortly after the film wrapped in 2008. The following year, Hayden asked Rachel to marry him, but had announced they were "taking a break" by early 2010. They officially ended things in August of that year.

Rachel was romantically linked to fellow-actor Jake Gyllenhaal when they were spotted hanging out together in September 2010, but neither side confirmed the rumors.
