R. Kelly always seems to be in trouble with underage girls! Today rumors surfaced that the R&B singer is being investigated by Illinois police for committing statutory rape.

Media Take Out is reporting that R. Kelly had his home raided by police who were looking for a 17-year old girl who allegedly had been staying there for several days. The girl reportedly left 20 minutes prior to law enforcement showing up.

Apparently since the girl is 17, she’s legally permitted to be with Kelly. But the Olympia Fields Police are still pursuing the case. They are still gathering evidence, which includes signed affidavits from several witnesses saying the girl had spent consecutive nights with him prior to her 17th birthday.

R. Kelly just departed for his South African tour and appears to be off the hook as of now. But we wouldn’t be surprised if he was greeted by police officers at the airport on his return. Kelly says his focus right now is solely remembering Michael Jackson, for whom he wrote You Are Not Alone.

R. Kelly said in a statement, "I want to use this opportunity to pay tribute to my mentor and remind people of his genius and influence on all our lives.”

R. Kelly’s teenage nephew has been shot, after allegedly attempting to rob a barbershop in Chicago. That’s awful! Couldn’t he have just borrowed some money from his uncle?

15-year old Brandon Kelly was taken to the hospital late last night with chest injuries after being shot twice by the owner of the barber shop. Police are saying it was Kelly’s fault, but the boy’s father, R. Kelly’s brother, says his child is the victim in the situation, and may have been caught up in someone else’s crime.

According to Fox News Chicago, Brandon has now been taken into police custody for attempted robbery. So sad! But such a dumb thing to do.

From child pornography, to a humanitarian tour in Africa. That's one way to clear your name! R. Kelly wants to leave the memories of his child porn trial in the past and try his hand at philanthropy.

Kelly was acquitted on all fourteen charges of child pornography back in June, and opened up about it for the first time on BET yesterday. He admits that although the mess is over, he still gets hounded by the media.

He says, "I've got a few tour offers to go to Africa. My management is trying to put it all together and make it right, where I can be over there for a while and not just go over there to tour… and really get into things, some humanity stuff. I don't know what that is yet but I want to make it more than just going over there and do a show.

"It will be powerful for me too because ever since I was a kid, I've always wondered and been curious about Africa, and this will be my first time going."

Yeah, "disappearing" off the scene for a little while might not be the worst idea…
Things aren't looking so good for R. Kelly. A federal judge just granted Ne-Yo $700,320 after he sued R Kelly from dropping his tour.

Ne-Yo and R. Kelly were co-headlining the Double Up tour of North America in 2007 when Ne-Yo was asked to leave the tour after just two shows.

"I believe it was because the first few reviews of the show, people were talking more about my set than his and I don't think he liked that too much," said Ne-Yo.

R. Kelly must have thought scrapping Ne-Yo was a great idea at the time, but Ne-Yo got the last laugh. He's probably laughing all the way to the bank.
Wow! The jury in the R. Kelly case has found him not guilty. He was acquitted on fourteen counts of child pornography.

The jury reached their verdict after just one day of deliberation. Someone's gonna be partying tonight!
