No matter how many times i read about Abraham Lincoln's bizarre life (his death was just as weird) --- failure, failure, failure, then going on to be the greatest president your country has ever known -- i always get choked up. The nobility of him picking himself up off the floor again and again. What an incredible person he must have been. Persistence beats resistence, eh?
