“When I read it to you, I hear it through your ears,” he said on reading his work to friends.

Quentin Tarantino scored the 2013 Golden Globe for "Django Unchained" in the category of Best Original Screenplay. This is a sweet cap on a drama-filled week that started when a reporter questioned him about the excessive violence in his film, to which he shut his butt down, of course...This is his second Golden Globe, after winning in 1995 for "Pulp Fiction" in the same category.

Though he may have said, “This is a damn surprise,” it wasn’t to us… Quentin, you’ll always number one in our books!

Here’s what the category looked like:

BEST SCREENPLAY

"Zero Dark Thirty"

"Lincoln"

"Django Unchained"

"Argo"

"Silver Linings Playbook"
