Quantum of Solace

The Earth Stood Still and racked in a ton of money. The sci-fi remake, staring Keanu Reeves, brought in $31 million dollars this past weekend. Rounding out the top three was 'Four Christmases' and 'Twilight' bringing in $13 and $8 million respectively. Here are the top 10 movies from the Dec 12-14 weekend:

The Day the Earth Stood Still: $31 million
Four Christmases: $13.2 million

Twilight: $8 million
Bolt: $7.5 million

Australia: $4.2 million
Quantum of Solace: $3.8 million

Nothing Like the Holidays: $3.5 million

Daniel Craig is tired of getting beat up for his role as James Bond. So when asked about the next installment, he said he wants for there to be a whole new storyline.

He tells Collider magazine, "No f**king way. I’m done with that story. I want to lie on a beach for the first half an hour of the next movie drinking a cocktail.

"We’ve finished this story as far as I’m concerned. We’ve got a great set of bad guys. There is an organization that we can use whenever we want to. The relationship between Bond and M is secure and Felix is secure. Let’s try and find where Moneypenny came from and where Q comes from. Let’s do all that and have some fun with it."

But don’t get too excited! Craig says there are no current plans to start shooting on the next Bond movie. He adds, "Nobody’s thinking about it at the moment. We’re giving it a rest for the moment. If I can squeeze something in next year I will… but I haven’t figured out what that’ll be yet. But nothing in the cold."

We don’t mind if he’s lying on a beach for half of the next movie. The more shirtless screen time for him, the better! Besides, we were pretty disappointed because we did not see enough skin in Quantum of Solace. Bond has to always show skin!

Daniel Craig is the "greatest Bond" ever according to "Quantum of Solace" co-producer Michael G. Wilson...and Hollyscoop.

Wilson told British radio station Heart FM: "He is the greatest Bond right now and the people love him." We couldn't agree with Michael more!

Wilson also confirmed that there will be another Bond movie, and Craig will definitely be returning to the role in early 2009.

He said: "Last time when we were in post production on 'Casino Royale' we were already working on 'Quantum of Solace.'"

"This time we haven't started, but in January we are going to get some writers together and start kicking some ideas around."

Just for kicks we thought we'd remind you of why Daniel Craig is the greatest bond...shirtless at least.

The latest Bond flick, Quantum of Solace is still a few weeks away from its release, but its already making a buzz. Daniel Craig already proved that he's capable of being an amazing Bond, and now his co-star Stana Katic is talking to Hollyscoop about the movie and her role as Daniel's new Bond girl.

In regards to working with Daniel Craig, Katic said, "Daniel Craig is very charming. He has a great sense of humor. He's wonderful, very sweet. He is fantastic, really sweet gentlemen."

So what can we expect from this movie? "The film is an homage to old Bond films from the 1960's," said Katic. "I think Marc Forster brings a realism to it and a suspense to it that a lot of audiences today will be looking forward to and be really struck by."

On whether she was a Bond fan growing up, Katic tells Hollyscoop, "My dad is a real big Bond fan, so I've seen a lot of Bond movies. Sean Connery is brilliant. It was a real honor to be able to play in a bond film and with Marc Forster, who is a fantastic director."

Quantum of Solace doesn't hit theaters until November 14, but in the meanwhile, check out our exclusive interview with Katic below...
