Private Practice

Last night was a big night for season premieres. Grey's, 30 Rock and Big Bang Theory were just a few of the shows fighting for viewers yesterday but who came out on top?

Grey's Anatomy is usually the highest watched show on Thursday nights, but The Mentalist is the new reigning King with over 15 million viewers.

Justin Bieber made his acting debut on CSI yesterday and the show got the second highest viewers of the night with over 14 million. Rounding out the top three was Grey's with a strong 14 million.

Check out the last night's numbers below...
A certain Grey's Anatomy character will be crossing over to another medically-themed show next season. We’ll give you a hint…a former Grey’s cast member broke away from the show to start her own “practice.” Ring any bells?

Yes, Chandra Wilson will be crossing over to Kate Walsh’s Private Practice next season! Executive producer Shonda Rhimes announced the news that Dr. Miranda Bailey will appear on episode three of Private Practice when she goes to visit Oceanside Wellness.

EW says viewers can expect some more on-screen chemistry between her character and Taye Diggs.

In addition, Chandra will directing her first episode of Grey’s this season as well. They are keeping her busy! No wonder she’s been nominated for an Emmy again!

There’s no doubt that TV stars have just gotten sexier over the years. And thankfully TV Guide has compiled a list of the steamy celebs that we tune into each and every week.

In this year’s TV Guide Magazine’s annual list of TV’s Sexiest Stars, Simon Baker and Eva Longoria take top honors. Simon, of the show The Mentalist, says, “My kids will really have a laugh, I’m sure. When I’m home, I’m basically a piece of furniture.”

Don’t give us any ideas, Simon! As for Eva, she says of the honor, “I feel like every year I’m getting wiser and getting more experience under my belt. I rather enjoy aging, actually.”

Pushing Daisies @ 8pm
The weirdest crime procedural on television (and considering the amount of competition, that's saying something) springs back to life with more murder mysteries, colorful characters and G-rated romance between Ned and Chuck, the soul mates who can't even touch each other. The Season 2 premiere finds Chuck acting as the lead investigator when she goes undercover at a honey-based cosmetics company. And Olive lands in an even stickier situation when she learns an astonishing secret from Lily, who tries to lock her away in a nunnery in order to ensure her silence.

Private Practice @ 9pm
The fact that Addison's workplace is the Oceanside Wellness Clinic calls to mind the 1963 Jan and Dean hit "Surf City," where there were "two girls for every boy." Sure enough, that's what lucky Cooper can look forward to with Charlotte and Violet as the second season opens. But for Sam and Dell, who are fighting for Naomi, it's the other way around. The same might be said for Pete, who had ratcheted down to "friends" with Addison when police officer Kevin Nelson (David Sutcliffe) arrived on the scene. We'll see how that one plays out. Meanwhile, the clinic's going broke.

Bones @ 8pm
In the real world, we're waist-deep in the middle of one doozy of a campaign season. But over in TV land, Brennan and Booth are diving into the petty and vindictive pool of corporate politics when the mangled corpse of a power-hungry office manager is found in an elevator shaft. It seems that grudges die hard in this ruthless environment, and it's up to our dynamic duo to push the right buttons to see who's going down.

Dirty Sexy Money @ 10pm
The series about the troubles of the fabulously wealthy returns for a second season, and Lucy Liu joins the cast as the mysterious Nola Lyons. As for the Darlings, they're engaging in one of their favorite pastimes: partying. The occasion for the celebration is Nick's birthday, and Tripp and Letitia throw him an elaborate bash on a yacht. But it's not all fun and games, as tragedy strikes the clan when a death occurs, followed by an arrest.

The cast of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice are coming together for a live performance to raise money for the production crews affected by the writers strike.

Creator Shonda Rhimes writes on the Grey’s blog:

"For one night only, the casts of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice are coming together for a live performance! An unforgettable evening of laughter and song to benefit crewmembers that were affected by the strike.

"Because while the strike is over, it will be months before many crew members are back to work. Millions of dollars in income were lost. Many crewmembers are suffering. And we want to do anything we can to help out."

It’s really nice that they are taking care of the crew even after the writers strike. Many think once the strike is over everyone gets a big ‘ol check but reality is they don’t.

America's Next Top Model @ 8pm
It was kind of sad to see our dysfunctional Heather get the boot last week. Although, I have to admit, I was heavily annoyed when she made it to one go see and managed to be forty minutes late in a span of five hours.....geez girl get a grip! Watch as the final four models (Bianca, Chantal, Jenah and Saleisha) move into a home in Beijing and learn some Chinese history from J. Alexander and Twiggy. Then it's off to the Great Wall for a photo shoot directed by Tyra. Also, tension increases between Jenah and Bianca when Bianca gives her rival some bad advice during a challenge that requires the models to change a traditional Chinese dress to fit their own unique style.

Private Practice @ 9pm
In the wake of the romantic shufflings of the last few weeks, where are we? Cooper and Violet are out, as are Addison and Pete, while Sam and Naomi are back in. We'll see where their second-time-around fling goes tonight. And we'll see where last week's steamy Charlotte-Cooper tryst leads. Anywhere but a psychiatrist's couch (not Violet's!) would be a surprise, so expect Shonda Rhimes to begin shuffling again once the holiday lull (and the writers' strike) is over.

Gossip Girl @ 9pm
As Blair, Serena and their circle of family and friends celebrated Thanksgiving in the Big Apple, we Gossip Girl fans had a lot to be thankful for: flashbacks, fights and reconciliations. It was a rough Thanksgiving to say the least. I missed Chuck though.....he was MIA in all the action. Tonight, Serena's grandmother has much to say about the upcoming debutante ball, insisting that her reluctant granddaughter attend---and find a more suitable escort than Dan. Meanwhile, Nate accompanies Blair to the ball as her friend; and Jenny hopes to go to the upper-crust event, but her parents would rather she didn't.

Life @ 10pm
Good news....Life has been picked for a full season! If you haven't caught on yet- check it out. Tonight, the conclusion of the two-parter that began on Monday — Crews coaxes a personal confession out of the real Seybolt family killer, which finally allows him to clear his name. Of course, there's still the mystery of who set him up, and dang-it if Jack isn't harboring the one person who could clear the whole thing up. I love this puzzling show that will piece it all together bit by bit.

It seems like more people are interested in watching sports than watching anything on TV because FOX baseball had the highest ratings on Primetime TV last night.
