Aside from being a member of the Royal family, Prince William is a member of the Royal Air Force Search and Rescue team, but apparently his current tour will end mid-next year and he needs to figure out what career to take on next.
So, like, not being a Prince anymore?
This is like a royal quarter-life crisis! Maybe he can dabble in improv comedy and start a food blog!
A palace spokesman says William, 29, has until mid 2013 to figure out what he’s going to do.
“William will have to make a decision in due course about his future career,” the spokesman tells Us Weekly, “His options include taking another tour of duty with the RAF Search and Rescue Force, applying for a new position within the Armed Forces, or ending his military role and taking on full-time Royal duties.”
What would those full-time “royal duties” entail? Tea parties, polo matches, and Diamond Jubilees!? No offense to the royal family but what do they “do?”
Kate Middleton left her former job at her parents party-planning company and is just doing her royal patronages and duties, i.e. looking pretty and covering American tabloids.
In related news, Katie Couric will get the only “American interview” with Prince William and Prince Harry at Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee later this month.
According to Couric, “William pays a personal and poignant tribute to his grandmother and also speaks candidly about his mother Princess Diana and his wedding.”
