We had read reports of Prince William and Joss Stone getting close but Stone’s people are downplaying that rumor. Odd couple no?
There were rumors that Prince William had been paying extra attention to Joss Stone due to the upcoming concert for his late mother, Princess Diana. He had reportedly been calling her personally on several occasions to go over the songs she would play.
Stone’s rep says that they are not in fact getting close. "They talked about what songs she is going to sing at the concert and that gets translated into a story about how William has been bombarding her with calls," says her rep, Dave Woolf.
"She is really pleased to be involved in the event and was anxious that she do something that would have meant something to the princess as opposed to singing any old three songs. She wanted to get direct input about what they wanted her to do."
