As we had mentioned a few weeks ago, Prince William and Prince Harry are planning a celebrity concert next year to commemorate their late mother Princess Diana. They have released information confirming that the concert will take place next year on July 1, 2007 (which would have been her 46th birthday) at London's Wembley Stadium. The concert will mark the 10-year anniversary of Princess Diana’s death in that fatal car crash in Paris.

Sir Elton John, Duran Duran, Joss Stone, Bryan Ferry and Pharrell Williams are all confirmed stars singing at the event. May more artists are on the list and waiting for confirmation. This concert is going to be one of the biggest concerts of 2007.

Prince William said, "We (Prince Harry) both wanted to put our stamp on it. We want it to represent exactly what our mother would have wanted. So therefore the church service alone isn't enough. We wanted to have his big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness, which I know she would have wanted."

Sir Elton John, who is confirmed to sing, said, "I applaud Princes William and Harry for choosing to honor their mother with this concert. I am absolutely thrilled to be performing at this great event. Diana was a personal friend and someone I greatly admired for her tireless and enthusiastic work for charity."

Tickets for the concert will go on sale tomorrow
