Apparently Prince Harry and Rambo have a lot in common.
In a recent interview, the royal redhead spoke openly about his tour in Afghanistan, where he said he killed multiple Taliban insurgents. In other words, allow us to introduce you to: Prince Harry, war hero.
The interview took place just days after Kate Middleton and Prince William announced that they are having a child. After being held for security reasons, it is now readily available to the public.
And, while Harry is quick to admit he did, in fact, kill people in the line of duty, he wasn’t exactly bragging about it.
“Take a life to save a life,” he said. “That's what we revolve around, I suppose. If there's people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we'll take them out of the game, I suppose.”
On his tour, Harry served as an Apache helicopter pilot under the command of Major Ali Mack. He went to work in the war-torn country not for bloodshed, but as a civic duty.
“The reason to do this job was to get back out here and carry on with a job,” he said. “Now, yes, we fire when we have to – take a life to save a life – but essentially we're more of a deterrent than anything else.”
As we previously reported, Harry also relayed his excitement about hearing the news that Will and Kate were expecting, telling the news crew that, “it’s about time.”
Not that he’ll be settling down anytime soon.
“I don't think you can ever be urged to settle down,” he said. “If you find the right person and everything feels right, then it takes time, especially for myself and my brother."
