Season 8 will be about CTU making a comeback under the leadership of a new character named Brian Hastings.
The character hasn’t even been cast yet. Described as an MBA type with a razor sharp intellect, Hastings will be joined by two new twentysomething agents (one male, one female), as well as Mary Lynn Rajskub's returning Chloe.
But speaking of new castings, one character we do know about is Slumdog star Anil Kapoor, who will play the part of Arman Hashemi, a Middle Eastern leader on a peacemaking mission in the U.S.
This will be an exciting move for the show! After 7 seasons, it’s important to shake things up a little bit and keep the fans interested!

The show was slated to start in March, with the production already shooting thirteen episodes. Only problem is, they don’t quite have a network that wants them yet! ABC is in talks to save the show (and Saget’s career).
Network boss Stephen McPherson says of adding it to their lineup, "A lot of the comedies on the air are kind of observational, and I like a lot of them, but I do think there is missing when the traditional sitcom is almost nowhere on the air. I would like to see us get back to programming, you know, a contemporary version of what we did with Roseanne and Home Improvement. I think there is a real place for that."
Unfortunately, if ABC is looking to rev up their sitcom lineup, Bob Saget is the last person who comes to our minds. Even though we loved him as Danny in Full House, he was the most boring character. Sadly, ABC should just stick to reality shows if they want to keep things interesting.

The May 11th episode of Gossip Girl this season will be a flashback “backdoor pilot” for the new show. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lily moves out of her parents’ house in Montecito California, and in with her black-sheep sister who lives in the Valley. So they weren’t always Upper East siders!
The CW says, "Caught between two worlds, Lily dives into the fast-paced Sunset Strip and the Hollywood lifestyle of the '80s, journeying over the hill to a world of wealth and excess that used to be her own."
Then of course, Rufus gets her pregnant. Which brings us to where we are today. But what’s going to be really juicy is all that stuff in between, and how she made the move to the east coast.
GG creator Stephanie Savage told THR, "We didn't want to upset the chemistry of our cast—all of whom are crucial to the show. Nor did we want to dilute New York City as a character."
Josh Schwartz added, "We are inspired by the opportunity to tell overlapping stories and introduce characters that will appear in the past and the present—and hopefully enrich both shows. We love exploring fashion, pop culture, music and a heightened world that's just a little more fun than the one we actually live in. L.A. in the '80s totally fits the bill."
The costume designers are going to have a field day with this new show!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, One Tree Hill creator Mark Schwahn is in negotiations to write the script for the CW.
Network spokesman Paul Hewitt says the show would debut in the 2009-10 TV season. So we wouldn't expect it until next Fall. Now the question is, which of the show's original actors would be on board? None of the actors from that show are doing much of anything these days, and it would be the perfect springboard for Heather Locklear, who has recently expressed interest on getting back on primetime.
Would you tune into a Melrose Place spinoff? We want to hear from you!

Living vicariously through the precocious cast of Gossip Girl is something we do every Monday night. And now true fans are about to get even more. The CW has allegedly created a spinoff to the series that will center around Serena and Dan’s parents, Lily and Rufus. And before you go thinking that’s boring, the spinoff will show them in their younger years.
Star reports, “The show will focus on the early romance between Lily and Rufus. It begins when they first meet, during a time when Rufus and his band are at the height of their career. The show will follow the high society and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle in New York. Two new actors will be hired to play the young Lily and Rufus. Producers are planning to introduce the new couple during a flashback scene in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl.”
Bring on the drama! We love it! What do you think about a Gossip Girl spinoff? We think it just may work, given the fact that totally new actors will be in the show, and the producers don’t have to take anyone out of the original cast.

Marc Cherry and his cougar-licious cast already knew they were locked in until at least May 2011, but with no guarantee there would be any more after that. But now they can celebrate, and so can women between the ages of 18-34 everywhere!
Sources from the set say, "Marc was cutting a cake when he announced it. He couldn't have been happier—this show isn't going anywhere."
Are you excited for this Desperate news? What are your ideas for new story lines?

He shows fans the staff, the set of studio 6B, which used to be home to some of the greats, like Milton Berle and Johnny Carson before he moved the show to LA.
Jimmy Fallon also introduces fans to The Roots, who were just confirmed as the show’s house band. Are you guys excited for Jimmy to take over Conan's spot? Also, just today there were rumors going around that Jay Leno(who is being replaced by Conan) will also have a new show on NBC at 10PM. That should be interesting since it's the first in prime time ever offered five nights a week.
Check out the video Jimmy, and click back for more video blogs each night!

We’ve heard of crazy New York cab drivers, but not on the set of a TV show! Even if it does take place in Rockefeller Center. Page Six reports: "The street was very narrow and there was nowhere for anyone to run, so we all just stood and watched in disbelief as it hurtled down the street and smashed into another car."
Tina Fey was there when it happened, and forced the young boy to dive out of the way to avoid the taxi. A spokesperson for NBC Universal confirms: "Some actors were grazed by one of the cars involved. They were examined at a local hospital and released."
We’re glad everyone is ok!

Today is a day every American can and should be proud. It's an affirmation of one of the Constitution's "blessings of liberty" - the ability of "we the people" to select our leaders in a peaceful, if not always orderly, manner. Katie Couric anchors the coverage on CBS, while Charles Gibson does the same on ABC, Jim Lehrer on PBS, Shepard Smith on FOX and Brian Williams on NBC. On the cable-news nets, Wolf Blitzer acts as ringmaster on CNN, while David Gregory moors MSNBC and Brit Hume mans Fox News.

Only four episodes to go, and while you know that Vic has four episodes' worth of fight left in him, Ronnie might not now that Claudette has made it her mission to bring Vic down. The latest dancer to fall ill is Lacey Schwimmer, Lance Bass' partner. According to the Insider, Lacey just got diagnosed with the same ailment as Julianne Hough- endometriosis. Lacey said she only went to the doctor after realizing she had the same symptoms as Julianne. Lacey's doctors told her yesterday, and rather than go straight to the hospital, she went straight to those reliable folks over at the Insider. She probably just had gas, but the Insider convinced her that the endo story was more compelling.
In any case, according to Lacey, she's in the early stages of the condition and won't have to go to surgery, but she is taking medication for it.
