Al Franken Running For Senator

Anyone can run for public office these days! Comedian Al Franken has decided to run for Senator in Minnesota after winning the Democratic nomination on Tuesday.

He beat out six other opponents, taking 66% of the vote in the state's primary! He'll face off against Republican Senator Norm Coleman and Independence Party candidate Dean Barkley in the election this November.

It's hard to imagine this is the same guy that brought us Stuart Smalley on Saturday Night Live. He's doing it because he's good enough, he's smart enough, and doggone it, people like him!!!
