24,000 of Sarah Palin’s emails that were written during her term as governor were released today. Investigators made the request in 2008, when Palin was recruited as John McCain’s running mate. She was alleged to have abused her authority, violating state ethics rules by allowing her husband to wield governmental powers.
Palin says she’s not worried about the emails:

The 30 Rock star, Alec Baldwin, has flirted with the idea of running for NY mayor in the 2013 election for some time now, and now his actor pals are publicly supporting him.
While visiting “Fox and Friends,” Garner said she supports Baldwin’s political ambitions.

Congressman Anthony Weiner pulled a Blake Lively when he tried to deny an accidental photo of his penis belonged to him.
Weiner took a photo of his penis-filled underwear and then accidentally posted it on Twitter while trying to send it to another woman. If old people weren’t already terrified of using the Internet, this’ll do it.

He met with Barack Obama over the weekend to talk about the crisis happening in Sudan’s Darfur region, an issue close to his heart.
George appeared on Larry King Live last night to speak more about his recent visit to camps where 250,000 refugees live.
He said, "I don't think people should be going there and coming back and saying how it affected them. I think somehow we should all know that these people are hanging on by the skin of their teeth."
Clooney also asked Obama to appoint a full-time regional envoy who will report directly to the White House, to ask China to set aside its business interests in the region and pressure Sudan to prevent further harm to these people.
George told Larry that the refugees “need what we do best, what we have done best since the start of this country — which is good, robust diplomacy all across the world.”
Well all of George’s hard work as U.N. Messenger of Peace may pay off. Next week the International Criminal Court is scheduled to rule on whether to proceed with an arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir for crimes in Darfur.
George has turned into such a notable political figure. He’s done so much to bring attention to the horrible situation in Darfur. This is the type of thing Obama needs to focus on, not the pleas to save the seals. There are far more important things going on in the world!

Even before the rapper’s recent call to reporters and the general public for compassion to singer Rihanna, after she was allegedly assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown, Jay had been garnering quite the reputation for altruism. 50 Cent even compared him to Ghandi.
Jay told Hollyscoop exclusively that while he understands why some might see similarities, comparisons of that gravity are the last thing he wants.
“I am definitely not Ghandi. I'm so far away from Ghandi,” he told Hollyscoop at the "Sprite Green Two Kings Dinner" during All Star Weekend.
“I really look at those people like Malcolm X, Ghandi, Martin Luther King, and it's something different about them, they just have a glow about them.
“I could never compare myself to someone so Godly,” he went on. “I understand what he meant: the poise and the overlooking the small things, but it's not even a close comparison.”

Like many celebrities, L.L. was an outspoken supporter of Obama throughout his campaign, and took pride in being able to be a part of his journey to Presidency.
According to L.L., Barack needs to stick to his principles as he starts this new phase of his life.
He writes, "The next chapter of your life has begun. The toughest decisions you will ever have to make lie in front of you. Decisions that will require you to choose between integrity and necessity to enact the promises made to millions of people, and recognize a change in perspective that will sometimes make those promises impossible to keep. Only you will be able to make those choices.”
"You have shifted the cultural paradigm of America, but now you have to live up to the ideal that fostered the shift and ensure that the paradigm doesn’t shift back. You must deliver."
That’s a pretty serious letter! L.L. needs to realize that change isn’t going to happen overnight! Obama has a lot on his plate when it comes to changing this country around!

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is being accused of “trying to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat like a sports agent shopping the highest bidder,” according to the U.S. Attorney. In fact, the Illinois Senate is even convening this morning to possibly try and impeach him.
So what exactly di Blagojevich do wrong? Well, fellow Senate members believe he was going about finding a replacement for Obama’s seat in all the wrong ways. He sat down with Diana Sawyer on Good Morning America today to defend his decisions.
He told Sawyer, "She seemed to be someone who had helped Barack Obama in a significant way to become president.” Later on The View he added that Winfrey was appealing because she was "an African-American woman who probably by herself has more influence than 100 senators." Well, we have to agree with him there.
Asked by Diane Sawyer if he tried to auction off Obama's Senate seat, Blagojevich answered, "Absolutely not, and I'll have a chance in a criminal case to show my innocence and bring witnesses."
Blagojevich refuses to attend his own impeachment trial, and instead is going around to all the news outlets comparing himself to Jimmy Stewart and Gary Cooper, as well as to real-life martyrs Mahatma Gandhi and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
So is this guy full of it? Watch his appearance on GMA, and judge for yourself. As for Oprah, she was simply left “amused” by the suggestion of joining the Senate. She said, “I think I could be Senator, but I’m not interested.”
Of course she’s not interested! When you have a day job like Oprah’s, you certainly don’t quit it!

People had camped out for days for a chance to see our new President in person and to be apart of history. While most of us know Obama as the intelligent, thoughtful speaker who can bring people together, his best friend CSI: NY star Hill Harper can give us insight as to who the real Obama is.
"Barack and I were classmates at Harvard and he's just a great guy," Harper told Hollyscoop exclusively at the SLS Hotel Grand opening in Los Angeles.
"A lot of us have worked really hard to help make it happen. And he's done an amazing job, so I'm so proud of him and I'm proud of this country."
In regards to inheriting the economy in the worst state it's been in since the Great Depression, Harper said that Americans "should have high expectations, but [Obama's] going to live up to them.
"They elected an amazing President. In eight years, he's going to go down as one of the greatest Presidents we've ever had. His name will go down with Jefferson and Lincoln and Roosevelt as one of the greatest Presidents this country has ever had. I've known him for 20 years and I say that with confidence," Harper added.
When your best friend becomes the most powerful man in the world, your friendship has to take the back seat, but luckily Obama always has time for the important people in his life. "They took away his Blackberry. The President can't carry a Blackberry... It's a security breech," Harper said. But he added that he's still in close contact with the President. "I call the people who work for him and they connect you," he joked.
He may not be able to just pick up the phone and call him anymore, but Harper was there to support his good pal on the day of the election.
He said, "We played [basketball] the day he won. The way someone plays a team sport is a metaphor of how they are as a person and the type of leader they are. He's the type of person that wants to make the team better."
No First Lady has created as much buzz as Michelle since the days of Jacky O. And speaking of the very classy and intelligent First Lady, Harper said:
"She was three years ahead of him, even though she's two years younger than him. She is the most intelligent First Lady this country has ever had. She's going to have the ability to really have a great affect on issues that are important to people."

The early numbers say that 29.2% of households from the nation’s top markets tuned in, which is the biggest in 28 years. Reagan’s 1981 inauguration drew in 37.4%.
The numbers are based on 14 different broadcast and cable networks, and don’t include online viewing, which is what a lot of Americans had to do because they were stuck at work.
The national viewership total will be available this afternoon, and the number crunchers are estimating it will be around 35 million.
Here are the previous nine inaugurations and their numbers. Obama is right up there with Reagan!

Fox News was interviewing her on the red carpet at the "Declare Yourself" party on January 18 in Washington, D.C. where Alba declined to give a shout-out to O'Reilly saying, "He’s kind of an a--hole. A little bit."
The producer then asked "How so?" To which she replied, "I don't know how he does it...maybe he was born that way," she answered with a smirk.
The producer then asked Alba to give an example of O'Reilly being an asshole and Alba responded: "Um, no. Cause that means I'm admitting I actually watched FOX."
The quotes sound bitchier than the real interview. She was actually smiling during the entire thing. Naturally, O'Reilly hit back at Alba on his show and took somewhat of the higher-road. O'Reilly said: "[We] believe Miss Alba is misguided and would benefit greatly if she actually did watch The Factor," he said. Check out the clip below...
