Johnny Depp To Make History With Pirates Paycheck

Clearly the recession hasn't taken a toll on Hollywood because Johnny Depp will reportedly make $59.2 million dollars for reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fourth installment of the Pirates Of The Caribbean.

A source tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "There's only one Johnny Depp. They simply cannot make another Pirates movie without Jack Sparrow. The first three films have earned $2.7 billion at the box office. It's no surprise that Disney executives want Jack back and they are willing to pay big bucks to get him."

Depp beat out Tom Hanks for the biggest paycheck in Hollywood history. Hanks will reportedly make $53.65 million for the forthcoming The Da Vinci Code sequel, Angels & Demons.
