Rumor has it that Reese is in talks to join Paul Thomas Anderson’s drama based on the history of Scientology.
The film is unofficially titled The Master and Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jeremy Renner are already attached to the project.
Rumor has it that the story will center around a charismatic intellectual, dubbed The Master (Phillip Seymour Hoffman), who creates “a faith-based organization” in the 1950s. The story will also touch on his relationship with his right-hand man, Freddie Sutton who will be played by Jeremy Renner.
As the “organization” begins to gain a strong following, Freddie begins to question the belief system he has embraced, and his mentor.
We’re still not sure what role Reese would play in the film but sources say she’s close to signing the deal.
This project is probably not approved by Scientologists since Tom Cruise and Kristie Alley are not stars.

Tom Cruise got his groove back as he was nominated for “Best Supporting Actor” for his hilarious performance as a studio hauncho in Tropic Thunder. Cruise is up against his co-star Robert Downey Jr., who took on the role of Kirk Lazarus, the Australian star who struggled to get out of character.
Although Tom and Robert both did great in the flick, they have some tough competition as they will go against the late b>Heath Ledger for his role in the The Dark Knight.
Looks like Hollywood’s golden couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will highlight the red carpet again this year, as they are both nominated. Brad Pitt was nominated for “Best Actor” in the drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Angelina Jolie for “Best Actress” in motion drama for Changeling.
Teen sensation Miley Cyrus scored a nomination for “Best Original Song” for Bolt, and Pop Diva Beyonce scored a nomination for “Once in a Lifetime” for Cadillac Records.
There were some previous nominees that got their names on the ballot again this year like Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Sean Penn.
The big buzz at the nominee announcement was Anne Hathaway, who scored a “Best Actress” nomination for her role in Rachel Getting Married.
We were disappointed that Cate Blanchett didn't get a nod for her role in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' because we hear she's phenomenal in the movie. But before you shed a tear for you, keep in mind her movie scored the most nominations, leading the pack with 5 alongside Doubt and Frost/Nixon.
It was also announced that Steven Spielberg will be honored for his work in Entertainment. He will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Rumor Willis will be Miss Golden Globe in true GG tradition since she is the daughter of two famous Hollywood stars Demi Moore and Bruce Willis.
The Golden Globes show will broadcast live on Sunday January 11, 2009 on NBC at 8pm. Check out the nominations list and you tell us your thoughts on who will take home a Golden Globe.
