Peter Falk

Veteran and iconic screen actor Peter Falk has passed away at the age of 83.

This is so sad. Actor Peter Falk’s health is deteriorating. His daughter Catherine has filed papers in LA County asking for a conservatorship to protect him.

In the filings, Catherine says that 81-year old Peter is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, and needs to be under constant care. The documents further state Catherine is worried her father "can easily be deceived into transferring away property" and believes a conservatorship will protect Peter from "fraud or undue influence." According to TMZ, a hearing has been set for the case next month.

Alzheimer’s is one of the saddest diseases to see someone go through. It’s like they’re not even the same person anymore. Good for Catherine for taking control of the situation, and realizing how bad her father is now. Hopefully he’ll be placed into good care.
