The competing worlds of rocker and father are not easily balanced but Pete Wentz is making it look pretty easy. Despite the time-consuming life of parties and screaming on stage, the musician always carves out quality time to spend with his cool kid.
"He's like three and change right now,” Wentz told Hollyscoop at the Hard Rock Hotel Music Mansion about his son, Bronx Mowgli. The duo have been spending a lot of time together and Wentz is excited with the prospect of the new father-son activities now that Bronx is an “awesome full human being” and “can hangout, talk and play and stuff.”
Three-year-old Bronx was born on November 20, 2008 and named after a character in The Jungle Book. His parents, Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson, have since split, but the rocker is certainly not letting that stand in the way of his son’s childhood.
Wentz and Bronx are all smiles and have been spotted out and about in Los Angeles with Wentz's new girlfriend, Meagan Camper.
When he’s not cutting vegetables or reading bedtime stories, the eye-lined daddy is busy writing and producing music. Wentz is excited for what lies ahead with his label, Decaydance Records. He is also on the lookout for new talent in the rock scene.
“We have Panic at the Disco, Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship and The Ready Set,” said Wentz, running down the Decaydance bands. “Definitely looking for a new band right now.”
So what lies ahead for the future of little Bronx Mowgli? Are there spotlights and amps in the future for this curly-headed, rockin’ toddler?
Wentz isn't closing any doors on the possiblity, telling Hollyscoop, "I dont know maybe, or maybe he'll be into math I'm not sure."
