PETA Gives Miley a Passionate Citizen Award

For once, PETA has some kind words to say to someone. Peta2, which is the youth division of the organization, have honored Miley Cyrus with a Compassionate Citizen Award.

They’re recognizing Miley Cyrus for her kindness towards chickens that were used during the filming of the Hannah Montana: The Movie.

PETA hasn’t picked a fight in a few weeks, so good thing Michael Jackson did something to piss them off so they’d have a new topic to complain about!

As you know, Michael is in the planning stages of his big comeback tour at London’s O2 Arena, which kicks off in July. He’s planning on including live animals on stage for his shows, which is a big no-no to PETA!

Pamela Anderson Fights to Free Chimps in Florida

Pamela Anderson may be a hot mess lately, but in between making headlines for partying, hookups, and wardrobe malfunctions, she finds time to fight for animal rights.

Pam has written an open letter to Florida governor Charlie Crist, targeting "road side zoos" in the state. She wants to free apes kept in "squalid" captivity in the state.

She claims chimpanzees and other animals are kept in inadequate enclosures, and the governor needs to do something about it.

This is just weird. PETA has either lost their noodle, or they’re onto a really great marketing scheme. PETA has just written an open letter to George Clooney asking his permission to create a George Clooney flavored tofu. We kid you not.

The opening of the letter reads:

We have been offered some of your perspiration, apparently taken from a towel at a gym in Washington D.C….The technology actually exists to take your perspiration and make it into George Clooney-flavored...
Pink and Ricky Gervais Star in New Disturbing PETA Commercial

Pink and Ricky Gervais are the latest stars to get on board with the PETA campaign. They star (as animals) in the newest commercial geared at getting people to stop wearing garments made from animals.

Pink plays an alligator, while Ricky plays a rabbit, who are each a little ticked off at a couple at a restaurant who seems to have taken off with their skin and fur! We told you it was disturbing!
