A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “They're telling friends they will get married.”
There are no details of the engagement or the proposal, and the couple’s reps wouldn't confirm nor deny the reports, but that's typical of Penelope and Javier. They're one of the most private couples in Hollywood, often going to great lengths not to even be photographed together.
Last month Penelope had to deny reports she was pregnant with Javier's baby after photos of her sporting what seemed to a be a baby bump hit the internet.
If she is engaged, it'll be a different tune than what she was singing back in August when she told reporters, “I don't know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children. When I have children, I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life.”
Knowing Penelope, she was probably using the "I don't know if I believe in marriage" card to throw everyone off. She's become quite good at manipulating the media in the past few years. If the rumors are true, then congrats to the gorgeous couple!
