Pauly D Talks Getting Replaced

GTL baby! The season 2 premiere of Jersey Shore is still over a month away but the cast is busy doing some promos for both the show and their own products.

One thing the cast has been promoting since day one is tanning—and a lot of it. Pauly D flew down to Vegas over the weekend to help promote his new tanning bed at Sunset Tan. And while he was there he talked to Hollyscoop about the new season, diva behavior and whether or not he’s getting replaced.

Jersey Shore Cast Getting Replaced

In regards to rumors that some of the cast members are being replaced Pauly told Hollyscoop at the Sunset Tan Honors MTV’s Famed “Jersey Shore” Cast Member Pauly D with Tanning Bed Dedication, he was more in the dark than we are. He said, "I don't really know yet. I'm not sure. They don't let us know, you probably know more than us."

He added that no one has seen a contract for season 3, so everything seems to be up in the air at this point—including their paychecks.

And it seems like Pauly D isn’t the only one in the dark about the future of Jersey Shore. “Honestly I don't know what is going on. Regardless of what happens I'm still going to be at the shore partying my ass off,” Snooki told Hollyscoop at The Hard Times of RJ Berger event at Trousdale earlier this month.

Jersey Shore Cast Addresses Herpes Rumor

There are reports that Mike "The Situation" is the main reason why show execs are considering replacing some of the cast members. He's apparently become a major diva and a nightmare to work with. But Pauly D admits he’s just trying to stay on everyone's good side.

He said, "I'm only myself and that is why I think I shine. I'm just trying to be myself. I'm just happy to be where I am. I'm just happy to be doing something that I love doing."

With the success of Jersey Shore, MTV is starting to branch out to other ethnic groups, including a show called "Persian Persuasion." But Pauly thinks imitation is the highest form of flattery and isn't the least bit intimidated by the idea of a new show.

"I'm flattered," he told Hollyscoop. "That is what happens when you are on top. Everyone wants to imitate you. I'm flattered by it, often imitated but never duplicated. I live by that."

Hopeully for Pauly D and the the gang, their 15 minutes won't be up after this season. But from what we hear, the diva behavior from the guidos and guidettes has proven to be too much for show execs! We'll just have to see what goes down. But for now, we're ust excited for round 2 of the fist-pumping to begin!
