If everything is bigger in Texas then it looks like the town of Lubbock is in for a real disappointment, "Jersey Shore" style!
DJ Pauly D - aka Paul DelVecchio from "Jersey Shore" - appeared to be scheduled for an event at the Fair Park Coliseum in Lubbock on Friday, April 27 that was suddenly cancelled.
However, his publicist tells Hollyscoop exclusively that Pauly D didn’t cancel the event because he was never scheduled to be there in the first place.
"DJ Pauly D was never confirmed nor scheduled to DJ or appear at this event," says his publicist. "The venue in question was falsely advertising Paul's name and was told to retract all materials using his likeness immediately."
The event dubbed "DJ Pauly D Live" had been promoted by various sources as the "#1 Event Of The Year" and predicted that "This Is Going To Be Huge. Limited Tickets To Be Sold. Do Not Procrastinate. This Event Will Sell Out Quick."
But the fact of the matter is that Pauly D has been booked to appear at The Factory in San Francisco on April 27 for more than six weeks and that’s nowhere near Lubbock, Texas.
Sources tell Hollyscoop that the matter has now been turned over to Pauly D's legal team who will be firing off a cease and desist letter and is considering further legal action.
Interestingly enough, DJ Pauly D’s castmates - Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Deena Cortese – are also scheduled to appear at Fair Park Coliseum on April 27 for a separate event with local DJ Dorrough.
No word yet from their reps is they’ve actually been booked.
