Paul Walker and his business partner Roger Rodas perished in a car crash on November 30th and the public will soon learn what the official cause(s) of their deaths were, as early as this afternoon.
“The autopsies are scheduled for this morning and will be concluded by this afternoon,” the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office told Hollyscoop.
Initially the coroner’s office had to put the autopsies on hold after having issues with identifying both victims because of how severely damaged the bodies were in the crash. Official identifications could only be made after receiving dental X-rays for both men.
Currently, the L.A. County Police are determining how much speed was a contributing factor to the crash and subsequent explosion.
The Porsche Carrera GT even came with a warning to dealers not to put the vehicle in just anyone’s possession as it’s “as close to a racecar” as the company will ever get, and includes “all the disadvantages of a racecar,” according to a doc from a Porsche exec. It highly suggests that anyone driving it also have “at least consulted” technical driving before doing so.
More details will emerge as the reports are finalized.
