What Celebs Are Doing For New Year's Eve

The holidays are a time for hanging with family, staying in for some eggnog, talking about old times. That kind of nice holiday stuff.

New Year’s, on the other hand, is a time for getting completely wasted with your closest friends and strangers at midnight. Like us, celebs love to get loose on the biggest party night of the year, and we found out just what kind of partying they’re going to be up to. Here’s what the celebs are doing for New Year’s.

Patti Stanger has a unique and fun New Year’s Eve tradition: “We all actually do a blind champagne tasting,” Patti tells Hollyscoop. “Everyone brings a bottle we don’t know which is the expensive, which is the cheap one and we have to figure it out and we all suck at it and then I give prizes out.”

Sophie Monk told us she plans to go down under for the holiday. She told Hollyscoop: “I’m thinking Australia right now, yeah. I got to be home, see my family, keep it real.”

Keep it real, indeed. Eva LaRue celebrates her birthday on December 27, and the actress tells us it just adds to all the hoopla: “My birthday is right in between so it’s overly festive that time of year.”

And Jersey Shore star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro might be an East Coaster by heart, but he’s headed out west for New Year’s.

“Maybe Vegas,” Ronnie tells Hollyscoop. “It’s too cold back home. I’d rather be on the west coast.”

Dane Cook will be partying hard on New Year’s Eve. With…a game night?

“I’m going to be hosting it at my house this year so game night will be over at my place, running charades, be there. Have your clues ready.”

Singer/actress JoJo has a big reason to celebrate this year:

“It’ll be my first New years as a 21 year old,” JoJo tells Hollyscoop. “It’ll be more fun.”

Damn right it will.

Model Leeann Tweeden is traveling for New Year’s, too. “I think we’re going to go spend New Years in London with some friends,” Tweeden tells us.

Hey, at least you’ll get a head start on 2012.
