The holidays are a time for hanging with family, staying in for some eggnog, talking about old times. That kind of nice holiday stuff.

New Year’s, on the other hand, is a time for getting completely wasted with your closest friends and strangers at midnight. Like us, celebs love to get loose on the biggest party night of the year, and we found out just what kind of partying they’re going to be up to. Here’s what the celebs are doing for New Year’s.

Patti Stanger has a unique and fun New Year’s Eve tradition: “We all actually do a blind champagne tasting,” Patti tells Hollyscoop. “Everyone brings a bottle we don’t know which is the expensive, which is the cheap one and we have to figure it out and we all suck at it and then I give prizes out.”

Traditional or not, the holidays are all about making memories with the people you love. That, and standing in line at Target for hours buying whatever they have left because you waited till the last minute to go Christmas shopping. Or maybe that’s just me.

Most of us have plans for the holidays and many of us have been anticipating those plans for months. So how are we spending our holidays? Finding out how the stars are spending theirs. Yup, we asked all your favorite celebrities what they’re doing for the holidays, and here’s what we found out.

Rapper 50 Cent might spit some rough rhymes, but when it comes to the holidays, he’s totally traditional. 50 told us: “Man, I just like being at my grandmother’s house when everybody is there. Like everybody just gathering and getting together.”

‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ Patti Stanger is that person that will call you out for wearing a shirt with a tiny hole in it, or forgetting to whiten your teeth or having a scuff on your shoe. You might leave the house thinking “hey, no one’s gonna notice that.” Patti Stanger will.

But her “tell it like it is” attitude might finally be getting her in trouble. During Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Patti took calls from viewers asking for her input. During and after the show, people took to Twitter to say they weren't happy with her generalizations.

First, some dude called asking how she feels about open, long-distance relationships.

“Long distance relationships are great because they go faster and are quicker to close to a serious [relationship] almost marriage.”
