Whoopi Goldberg, who is good friends with
Patrick Swayze, claims he's dealing with his illness the only way he can, one day at a time.
Speaking about Patrick at the 1st Annual Blossom Ball in NYC, Whoopi said he is "doing the best he can."
"He's kicking butt," she told
Us Weekly on Monday. "And, you know, he's sick. And he, like the rest of us, doesn't know when it's going to happen - because it will happen, that he is going to go - but he doesn't know when or where."
"His attitude is, why wait for it to happen?" she went on. "So he's busy as hell."
Patrick has been so busy filming his A&E show
The Beast that he doesn't have time to sit around and dwell on his sickness. His attitude about his illness has generally been pretty positive so it's great to hear that he hasn't stopped living his life.
