Patrick Swayze, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on September 14th, will reportedly be cremated within the next two days and his ashes will be scattered on his New Mexico Ranch.

Swayze loved his ranch and would visit often, so the family wanted it to be his final resting place.

“Swayze loved the ranch and visited whenever he could. Swayze turned his Rancho de Dias Alegres (Ranch of Happy Days) into a wildlife preserve and timber farm, he loved the rugged mountains and canyons of his ranch and the cowboy life he led there," reports Radaronline.

Patrick's friends, family and co-stars have all released very heart warming statements about his passing and we just got word that on September 23 ABC's hit show Dancing With the Stars will pay a special tribute to the late star.

“We have some very fond memories of [the late actor] coming to help us our when we were a tiny little show way back when,” Dancing’s executive producer Conrad Green tells People.

“He was one of the few people to integrate dance with being an A-list actor,” Green says. “He inspired many people and many of our pros to dance. We want to honor the great moments he’s brought to film by getting our dancers to do their interpretation to some music from his films.”

Sounds like a very fitting tribute to a very talented man. Our condolences to Patrick's family, he'll truly be missed. We'll make sure to post more details about his upcoming memorial and cremation as soon as we hear more!

I remember back when Dirty Dancing was made that I didn't give it a second thought. The title indicated to me that this wouldn't be "my kind of movie." How wrong I was! I came across the last part of this excellent movie a few months ago while surfing. I decided to use my remote to get info on when it might be shown again, as I wanted to see the entire thing. Turned out that it was Dirty Dancing--and just what the doctor ordered for this hopeless romantic. Great music, wonderful plot, and top-notch acting--and where one of my favorite songs (about having the time of your life) comes from. I'd heard the name Patrick Swayze but hadn't followed him that much beyond learning that he was battling cancer. What a beautiful and caring person he was, and I'm sorry that I didn't get to know him better while he was still on this side...
