Patrick Swayze Regretted Not Having Children

Patrick Swayze close friends and family members say the one thing Patrick regretted in his life was not having children. Swayze, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer last week, was desperate to become a father and was reportedly left devastated when his wife Lisa had a miscarriage.

She lost the baby three months into the pregnancy, and while they kept trying for another baby, it never happened.

Writing in his memoirs, The Time Of My Life, Patrick said: "I couldn't wait to become a dad, to have a child with this woman I loved so dearly. And I wanted to be the best father I could be - the kind of father my dad had been to me.

“I felt completely crushed with grief. We wanted to try again, but the loss had been so devastating that we just couldn't do it right away. We figured we had plenty more years ahead of us. Eventually, we did start trying again hoping Lisa would get pregnant. But she never did."

Patrick and Lisa were married for 33 years, so Patrick figured at some point they would become parents, but unfortunately that didn't happen. He seemed like he would have been a great dad, it's tragic that he lost his life so early.
