Despite nasty reports circulating on the internet,
Patrick Swayze is still alive and well!
Earlier today a radio station in Florida reported that Patrick had lost his battle to pancreatic cancer. But fortunately, there was no truth to the report.
"This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida," said his rep Annett Wolf.
"Patrick Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment."
His health has certainly become the subject of speculation. Back in March, he told
People magazine, "I hope in the future, the press will think twice about printing inaccuracies and painting an unpleasant picture when I have so much to be thankful for at this time."
How could someone have the heart to start such a nasty rumor?! Apparently getting death confirmations is a thing of the past. We're glad to hear Patrick is still alive and responding well to treatments.
