Patrick Swayze Goes Back to Work

Good news for all you Patrick Swayze fans, he's just been given the green light to go back to work.

Swayze, who is responding well to treatment for pancreatic cancer, is set to star in the A&E drama The Beast.

"I have searched for quite a long time to find a character that is this multi-layered, unpredictable and downright entertaining, as well as a project this current and cutting edged," Swayze, 55, said in a statement from the network.

The 13-episode show is set to go into production this summer in Chicago and will premiere in 2009.
