As the Jackson Family vs. AEG lawsuit continues, a sad truth was shared by the family’s chef Kai Chase to jurors regarding Paris Jackson.
The 16-year-old, who attempted to take her own life recently, refuses to celebrate her own birthday ever since her father died in 2009, according to Kai. Ever since Michael threw a private circus for her 11th birthday, which included a Cirque du Soleil-style show, Paris “hasn’t wanted to celebrate since.”
“Being daddy’s little girl, Paris is devastated,” Kai said. “She’s devastated and lost,” adding that these days the teenager is just “Trying to find herself and find who she is…It’s taking a lot of love and understanding to keep her together. She breaks down, she cries, she talks about him.”
For the jury, she shared her own personal interactions with Michael’s kids, describing Michael as a very vibrant father who was equal parts serious and a prankster. He didn’t allow them to eat sweets and made sure they went to bed early for their regular tutoring sessions with teachers during the day. He was also funny and playful, eating meals with his kids, exchanging jokes and stories, according to Kai’s description of the family during happier times.
