Paris Looks for Friendship in the Middle East

Paris Hilton is so over her LA friends. So she’s searching for her new BFF halfway across the world in the Middle East.

Paris got special permission from Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to round up a group of young women to compete for her friendship.

Show creator Michael Hirschorn says of the idea, "I love it for the sheer wildcard aspect of it.”

Paris Hilton’s My New BFF-Dubai will follow the same format as it did with the U.S.-based original and the U.K. version, but one major component will be missing. And that’s alcohol.

Because of strict laws in the Middle East, the production must adhere to local cultural sensitivities. And that includes drinking, swearing, and risqué clothing. How will Paris cope??

Paris’ current boy toy Doug Reinhardt will reportedly appear on camera with her. The series will also film Paris’ reaction to arriving in Dubai, since she has never been there before. Talk about going the distance for a friend!
