Schwarzenegger: No Pardon for Paris

Paris Hilton

The Governator won't be offering Paris Hilton the pardon that her fans are requesting...at least not yet.

A rep for Governor Schwarzenegger says it's premature for him to get involved in this sort of case "until the individual has exhausted his or her judicial remedies."

So far, only about 5000 people have actually signed the online petition.

She should have got 450 days. Arnold please lock her up for good and throw away the key. She is the most selfish ignorant person that we constantly have thrown in our faces. Never mind any innocent victims her car may have hit!!!!

Only 5000 people? I'm suprised more than 5 people signed it. I mean, really, only the media seems to be interested in this shallow, nasty girl...the rest of us know she's a phony and a bitch. She needs to serve the 45 days if only to NOT be in the news for a month...give us all a break from this two-bit skank.

If you or i did what Paris did, we'd be going to jail no question about it. How dare she think she's so special she's above the law? She is just so used to fluttering her eyelashes and smarming her way out of everything. God she must be a tight wad not to have hired a driver while she was on probation, if she'd done that none of this would have happened.

Here in Canada the punishment for Driving Under the Influence is harsh. As it should be. The fine is 1200, and no driving for 1 year. If you are caught driving during this period it is an automatic jail sentence. Straight to jail. It doesn't matter if you are the Prime Minister or a Priest, the punishment is the same. Someone like Paris Hilton that is in the public eye constantly, and is as much of a role model as people make her to be should be held accountable for her actions. The petition is ridiculous. It is 45 days, I'd say she is lucky it is not more.

This is a joking. I am so confused about this case. Why anyone wants to sign a petition for her. I wonder if these people signed the petition for not going to war which could save thousands of lives. She is polluting the society. She is a bad role model? I have not seen she she done anything which benefits the society. She is a rich spoiled person, with a lot of make up, wears expensive clothes and carries her dogs around. Governor A. has other bigger projects to work on. Paris is not above the law. If he pardons her, it means he sends a signal to everyone that's ok to drink and drive.

The 5000 number is an automated tally that includes all duplicates, as well as everyone who "signed" without listing a name, just to leave an anti-Hilton comment. The actual signatures and, alas, comments, are private. I'm sure the real number of useful signatures will be far smaller. The internet is not exactly Paris's best friend.

Paris is a dumb bitch, end of story. She's thinks just because she's rich, she doesn't have to serve time, No Pardon. Put this bitch in jail already.

I keep seeing links to the "free Paris" petition (which I'm not interested in) but no matter how hard I look, I can't find a link to the "No Pardon for Paris" petition. Bias?

This whole thing makes me mad. The fact that she didn't hurt or kill anybody, doesn't remove the risk that she most certainly could have, and I don't think Paris has learned her lesson. She believes she is above all and I think something like time in jail could hit home with her.She is a role model for alot of people (which is sad), and even for young children(help us all), and I think it would be wrong to send the message out to them that certain individuals are above all,and that this kind of behavour is tollerable . I have young girls and I shiver to think that they would get the impression that reckless behavour doesn't lead to danger and trouble. And lastly to those who keep appealing for a pardon so that she can continue on with her career and public obligations...hello, did Martha not do her time and end up more famous in the end? She did, and she also gained alot of respect in the end.Other famous and rich people have done their time and lived. Paris will survive!

No Pardon for Paris
Please no pardon for Paris Hilton. She's spoiled brat and needs to accept her responsibilities for her behavior. She's behind the wheel to drive again, what does it mean to you? Yeah, where can I find no-pardon petition? I am delighted to sign so she can set an example to the community that no one is above the law and protect people to keep the drunk drivers off the street.

Whether you like her, loathe her or are, like me, completely indifferent, Paris Hilton has committed an offence and been found guilty. She must accept the consequences. It would be a sad day when someone can evade punishment simply by being rich and well connected.

Rot in Jail
Actually, less than half that many people have signed it. FreeParis.org only shows 2050 signatures as of 5/9, 1 pm EDT. And probably half of those are dupes or jokes. Dumb bitch. She and Dubya should breed a race of super-stupids.

She said she was driving to work. What job does she have?? Does anyone really believe she has a job? And why shouldn't she have to pay the penalty (like every other normal American!) for speeding (45mph OVER the limit!) with your headlights off, at night?!?!?! It's about time we treat the celebrities like everyone else!

That stupid girl needs to be humbled. Send her to jail and make her clean bathrooms, peel potatoes, be bored and take away her personal belongings. That's a tv show I would watch.

Sharon we don't want Paris to be making anymore money than she already has.

Pat
Why should she be above the law. Rich or not, a crime is a crime. Jail term seem appropriate and will show others in her situation (loads of money) that they ain't above the law.
