Paris Wants to Be Taken Seriously

Party girl/jailbird/heiress Paris Hilton is tired of being portrayed as a dumb blonde and wants to be taken seriously. Don't laugh. She's serious.

Paris sat down with Newsweek to discuss her upcoming 5 day charity trip to Rwanda...naturally the cameras will be following her every move.

"Before, my life was about having fun, going to parties-it was a fantasy. But when I had time to reflect, I felt empty inside. I want to leave a mark on the world," she tells Newsweek.

On her upcoming trip to Africa she said, "I'm scared, yeah. I've heard it's really dangerous. I've never been on a trip like this before. I love having everything documented. It shows people what everyday life is like for me, how hard I work. There are a lot of misconceptions about me."

Paris is currently filming a movie called "Repo! The Genetic Opera!" Hilton plays an heiress with an addiction to plastic surgery. That shouldn't be a stretch.

So do you guys think Paris has changed since her stint in jail or is this just another PR stunt?

You think Paris's slutty actions are the norm? Or her pot smoking, N word and firecrotch calling is okay? Or even driving drunk and doing jail time is acceptable? All this just because she's in the process of "growing up"? Let's compare someone else of the same age and financial background as Paris: Ivanka Trump, who went for a higher education and is both a respected business woman and individual in both her public and private life. A young girl who never once acted out like the other privlegded whore. Here is a perfect example of the higher class of people that Paris will ALWAYS aspire to be, but never will.

The new movie Paris is in will most likely become a cult classic because the director is Bousman, who directed the Saw movies. As I recall, Paris always said she wanted to do romantic comedies and horror movies. She seems to enjoy making this movie and Bousman said in an interview Paris CAN act.

To convince me, she would have to do serious charity work - not high-profile BS like going to an AMFAR benefit in New York or jetting to Rwanda. And she simply MUST stop being such an environmental sociopath and discard the Earth-destructive parts of her lifestyle (like the freakin' SUV that brought her to court in June). Paris may seriously have good intentions, but with her past, she is going to have a hard time being taken seriously I think.If she's serious, I wish her the best, but it's going to take a lot of hard work on her part to prove herself.
