Paris to Visit Rwanda

Paris Hilton

Love her or hate her, you have to admit Paris Hilton isn't the same girl after her 45-stint behind bars. After she was released she vowed to become more involved in charities and it looks like she's keeping her promise. Paris is set to travel to Rwanda this coming November to help those less fortunate than herself, and she hopes her involvement will raise awareness of the cause.

She tells E! news, "I'll be going in November, after I get back from filming my movie. There's so much need in that area, and I feel like if I go, it will bring more attention to what people can do to help.

"I want to visit more countries where poverty and children's issues are a big concern. I know there's a lot of good I can do just by getting involved and bringing attention to these issues."

If anyone can start a trend its Paris Hilton, so lets hope the rest of these Young Hollywood stars will follow in her big footsteps.

I just see no sincerity in this girl -- I believe everything she does is for attention...even since her jail visit she STILL seems totally wrapped up in herself and only cares about designer shoes/bags and partying.

someone please remind me what she's ACTUALLY done since she's been out of the slammer?...

Couldn someone tell these rich white people to stay the fuck out of Africa?!?!?!?! There's no sincerity in these people, just publicity. That's right, making money and fame of the backs of the African people. Not a damn thing has changed in the world.

Why does she always wear shoes that emphasize her gigantic feet??!?!

It's very decent of Paris to give of her time to help needy kids andd families. She was invited by the Playing For Good Foundation's founder to go with them to Africa. Paris also co chaired AMFAR this week in New York.

You idiots. Stop talking about hating her, stop talking about if she's sincere or not. NONE OF IT MATTERS. All that matters is if attention is brought, who cares if she just wants attention? That's not important, it will bring attention to the problems there which is a good thing. Stop making issues and try look at the positive fact that it will raise awareness. If you can't see that it's good and can only talk about her shoes then you've got some real issues.

it is way to late for her to try and change her image, yes its good to do good things but when the name paris is in it i just shut off now, too little too late girl

It's very decent of Paris to give of her time??? What does the slut have other than time and money. And she co chaired AMFAR? What was her duty, sit there and be the mannequin? She hasn't the brains of a flea. The most she brings to a charity is bad press, anything that she's involved in turns more people off than on.

There is no stopping Paris Hilton, she is too rich and too famous. Negative comments by a few sour people on some web sites mean Zilch. According to Mr. Lazerson from the Playing For Good Foundation, he will meet up with Paris in October in Toronto. Paris will make a monetary donation at that time to help the people in Rwanda. You may not like Paris but hey, she is doing what she said she would do.

There is just no pleasing some haters,is there. They will always try to find something negative to say. That's what people typically do when they don't feel good about their own lives.

Paris is doing great!

Scott Lazerson is doing a good thing with his foundation, which is trying to get more and more rich people involved in helping others.

Any charity that she's involved in is the last charity I'd donate to. She has a bad rep and I have no urge to be around anything she touches.

She's not trying to get the spotlight. She just kept her promise. If she didn't keep her promise, you'll said she's a big liar and saying bad things 'bout her.But now when she has kept her promise, you're saying mean things to her.Why can't you just trust her ,huh?People can change ,you know....
