Paris talks about Nicole

Paris Hilton finally spoke to the folks over at In Touch Magazine about her rekindled friendship with Nicole Richie.

Paris tells the mag, "I love Nicole, and I'm so glad we're friends again. I missed her, she's like my sister - we've known each other 23 years. I'm glad we can put the feud behind us. I'm really happy she's back in my life."

I gotta admit I'm a little excited that they patched things up again too, I couldn't imagine losing my best friend of 23 years.

Meanwhile the duo aren't losing any time to catch up. The reconciled pals were spotted shopping in LA. Even though the official reason to why the two fell out still hasn’t been released, Simple Life producers claim the new season explores "what led to the breakdown in the friendship and maybe some of the misunderstandings that got in the way." I told you guys its all a publicity stunt!

We also hear that another reason Paris and Nicole became friends is through Nicky Hilton, who never lost touch with Nicole.

The E! networks wanted Paris and Nicole to shoot the 5th season of the show in Fiji. When the girls decided not to go, network execs said the only way they would compromise is if Paris and Nicole talked things through.

Paris reportedly took the first step and texted Nicole about the Fiji issue, which led to ongoing text messaging and eventually the dinner date at Dan Tanas. We hear after the dinner the duo slept together in the same bed. Just like old times!
