Paris Runs Out On Prince

How can someone humiliate Paris Hilton? Ask her to sing publicly! Paris was in Las Vegas last weekend and she decided to attend Prince’s gig at the Rio Hotel & Casino. Prince thought it would be a good idea to invite Paris Hilton on stage to join him.

Hilton was “delighted” and reportedly went up on stage and stood next to him, while Prince handed her a mic and told the audience: “Let’s see if she can really sing.”

Hilton quickly sprinted off stage(not singing) and left the club two songs later. I take it she isn't going to go on tour?

Hilton’s rep says, “The item is false.”

The point was that if Prince sees/hears of anyone doing an album or single who can't actually sing it make other artists look bad.It's an insult to the music industry. After all the whole 'artist' thing gets dragged down. But hay she had a go!

I think that was sad, that prince did that! I not an over-the-hill fan of Paris, but come-on, that was a cheap shot that he did her like that! we know she's a spoil rich bitch and can't sing, but serously what was the point, Prince!!! :/

I think there is way too much hype over whether or not Paris can sing. Maybe she brought it on herself by putting out that song or album - but lots of celebs want to try making music. Anyway, I think it is interesting that she is always in the headlines...it just doesn't seem to stop.

As it turns out, I'm the lady from the audience who sang "Play that funky music" with Prince on Friday 20th April 2007 He had already invited a handful of people onstage to dance, Paris Hilton was one of them and so was I. Prince respectfully asked anyone to from the audience to sing that song with him and never sniggered about whether Paris could sing or not. The microphone was with his backing singer, Shelby and she was the one that apparently offered the microphone to Paris. I knew the song and I in my excitement I frantically ran across the stage to seize the opportunity of a lifetime; the honour to sing with the greatest of all entertainers, Prince himself. It looked as though the problem was that Paris did not know that particular song, so I started singing the first bar of the verse of the song with the mic still in Shelbys hand. Prince then signaled Shelby to let me continue and that was it. Prince did not dis Paris and Paris did not storm off in anger. The whole event was great fun and awesome entertainment, nothing should be taken away from that. And I'll never forget that moment that I shared the stage with Prince!!!!
