Paris Is "Emotionally Distraught And Traumatized"

Paris Hilton is so devastated that according to her therapist she can not go to court. Hilton’s therapist, Dr. Charles Sophy, filed a declaration claiming that Hilton is “not capable of any meaningful participation" in a trial.

If y’all remember heiress Zeta Graff filed a lawsuit against the heiress Hilton claiming that Paris had spread "vicious lies" about her and that they were printed in the New York Post.

Dr. Charles Sophy claims that Hilton is "emotionally distraught and traumatized" because of her 45-day jail sentence. He is asking the judge to give Hilton some time to recover. In the document, Dr. Sophy explains that Hilton, "Cannot effectively respond to examination as a witness or provide any significant input into her defense."

The doc also claims that by asking Paris to participate in the trial which is set for May 21 would "exacerbate her current mental condition."

The judge was kind enough to postpone the court date until August 22.

This is such a gimmick! She just need to do her time and get it over with and learn a lesson while she's at it. If she has a mental illness..she should be in a mental health facility instead of running these streets opening her legs. What! her money can't buy her a new brain?! This is funny, but all the young starlets in her "crew" has done the same thing-claim they have "mental issues" thus they should be given special treatment for it. When will these girls (yep they are girls because although they are each old enough to know better, they definitely don't act their age)learn to accept responsiblity for their own actions?

I actually fell bad for her,,,Jail is not fun and wouldn't wish it on anyone...ppl get out of jail for various reasons,,I think she needs to take some courses that will enlighten her on her driving mistakes,,not jail,,hell they let out guys who have robbed,,stole and killed for less,,there just trying to make an example out of her,,and I feel bad for her,,,I'am not a Paris lover and her life style,,,yes I'm jealous of,,If I had her money I would be living the high life aswell,,,and I mean Hi.,,anyway I hope she can find a way to get out of this mess,,,and let the crinimals rot away in jail,,,geez she didn't kill anyone,,she drove without a license BID DEAL,,ppl do it every day,,she just got caught...Some driving courses would do her a world of wonders,,not jail..I guarentee, that bad things will happen to her in there,,just because of who she is,,,and she doesn't deserve that...I hope she comes out a live,,or there will be hell to pay...Put her by herself, for her safety,,cuz those girls will harasss her big time,,hang tuff Paris,,This fan feels for ya.

to lisa d, I too would not wish jail or prison on anyone. But paris was given several chances to take some driving courses and she ignored them. It is my understanding that she ignored all the warnings given to her. She is not being sent to jail to make an example out of her, she is being send because it is the law. All of you are coming to her defense and some of you dont know her. She probably would never party with some of you cause you are not rich enough so why are ya'll acting like you are BFF's or something. And just for the record, I am not siding with having her do her time out of jealousy. But the fact that you, lisa, have admitted that you are jealous makes me think that you value the excessive lives of celebrities more that what is really important. I understand that she was born into wealth and that is ok. Mr Hilton had every right to build his hotel empire and have his family enjoy it. But to me she took her wealth and status in society for granted and that is a shame. I would never be jealous of someone like that. But the fact that this is even newsworthy bothers me. Yolanda King, daughter of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jrjust passed away. The work that she did to further her fathers dream is far more newsworthy. But some of you probably dont even know who she was, but you know who Paris is and that is a shame. But as far as the 45 day sentence, it is probably light compared to what me or you would have gotten for the same offenses. She should be glad to go and just get it over with and hope the judge doensnt give her more time in order to be "fair". I also feel that while in jail she should at least be placed on protective custody. I dont wish her any harm, I just feel that she should suck it up and do her time.

To it's the law>>I do agree with you,,ya, she should suck it up, and do the time,,and yes ,I did forget that she had a chance to enroll in driving classes, and did not..I assure you that I would not like to be her BBF,,,and I'am sure that not having enough money for her would indeed not allow me in the "click",,of things..You are right, she did ignore these things and for that,,is why she is going to jail..My train of thought more or less,,is the fact that ppl are happy that this young lady,,and I say that lightly, no pun intended,,that she is going to jail. people are released for less..Example..I live in Canada,, A man murdered a young woman in my community,,,buried her in his backyard,,rocked the whole community,,He was given a 7 year sentence for this crime..murder--7 years,,disgusting,,with good behavour he will probably be released in 5..moving back to the small community where her mother and family still lives..Our canadian laws are great for some and to leniant for others...moral of the story,,they should have made an example out of this young man..sent him for life,,not 7 years,,is a joke,,Just like Paris,,it's a joke,,Surely there are more important things to write about,,more news worthy,,but the public's fasination with celebrity life style has brought us to this web site..As a whole we all wish we had a better worry free life,,no bills etc..Paris doesn't have to worry about where her next meal is coming from..SO TO IT'S THE LAW,,I totally agree with what your saying,,,I would just like, to have, to not worry about where I'm going to get the next mortgage payment money from??That's all,,life is a struggle everyday..and I'm just jealous of the fact that she doesn't have to worry about these things such as I do,,well take care and thanks for the debate,,was fun..lol
