Paris Is All About The Good Cause

Paris Hilton flew all the way to Mallorca, Spain to attend the Playing For Good Foundation Philanthropic 2007 Ceremony .

It was actually the First Annual International Summit which took place from August 30th - September 1st, 2007 in Mallorca, Spain. Others that were at the weekend long festivities included Eva Longoria, Goldie Hawn, Terrence Howard, John Legend, Chaka Khan, Sheila E.,Fran Drescher.

The Summit's goal was to create lasting bridges between the roads of opportunity, vision and hope. The Summit hoped to raise public interest and international media attention, strengthening the awareness of our honored charities.

I’m actually really surprised to see Paris actually attending all these ‘charity’ events. She even missed Labor Day parties to fly across the globe to attend a charity gala. That crisis manager sure seems to be helping cause I'm sitting here writing about her doing good.

If Paris Hilton was serious, all this charity business would've happened years ago. She needs to correct her image, therefore this is how. So many of you people are too gullible. She's an idiot still.

Paris was on TV last night and, apparently, the "Playing For Good Foundation" invited her back to work with them. Paris will have more and more impact as the years roll along, it's always gratifying to see a person make efforts for others.

Paris Hilton donated her time to this particular event, as did other celebs. No one is forcing them to do it. The last I heard is that the Hilton Foundation will match any money Paris spends on the charities of her choice, which is a good deal for whatever she picks. They obviously can't save the whole world, but at least they're doing some good.

What kind of cash did they bring in for this charity event? NONE! It was just to gather awareness??? My house cost $35,000. I'll be paying for that for 15 years because the rest of my earned money goes to bills, food, and children's schooling. Tom Cruis recently bought a home for $35 million. It take a lot of nerve and no fucking brains to be asking us people to give to a charity when our income is so pathetic compared to the ones doing the asking. Give me a fucking break from these charities. Maybe the wealthy should be giving more. One or two million is nothing to them, where as one or two hundred means the difference between tuna or steak for me.

Exactly as Marie says: It's all a show. Anyone who wants to do good doesn't have to jet over to Spain to attend a glitzy conference on doing good. The money on that flight alone would have been better spent going to a soup kitchen in Portland or an inner-city midnight basketball program or countless other good works. Instead she spent the money to rub elbows with other rich people. What an asshole.
