What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there. David Schubert, the D.A. that prosecuted Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars, was busted in Vegas Saturday night for carrying cocaine.
It’s amazing what a suit can do. Because in court, this guy looked like your typical uptight, Fox News watching, white-collar WASP. But in his mug shot he looks like a bloated serial killer.
Authorities were suspicious when they saw Schubert’s passenger get out of his BMW, enter an apartment complex and come back out. After stopping him for a traffic violation, the passenger initiated a foot chase, and then told officers Schubert “would come by the area three to four times a week and use Raymond to purchase $40 worth of cocaine.”
According to the police report, officers found a “white, rocklike substance” in the car, and it was tested positive for cocaine.
You’d think a D.A. would have access to a lot of confiscated evidence and wouldn’t have to go to a shady neighborhood in Vegas to score it. But I guess he didn’t want to get in trouble for stealing office supplies.
The Clark County DA told TMZ,
“We are very disappointed. He has betrayed the trust that was placed in him. He's been locked out of his office, placed on suspension and is in the process of being terminated.”
