Paris Hilton Honored By Harvard!

January 11, 2008

I didn't see this one coming. For some reason the editors at Harvard University's Harvard Lampoon magazine have named Paris Hilton their 'Woman of the Year.'

Paris is expected to give an acceptance speech at Harvard Square on February 6th. The only other celeb to receive the honor was Harvard alum Conan O'Brien.

truth is: too many young people look up to that slut... which creates more sluts. and that's why we have more and more pregnant 13 year olds today. oh yeah we should also point out how regardless of who is giving this reward, harvard or harvard lampoon... she's still being "honored" and that sheds more light on her and gives her more "umph" in the eyes of kids today. but we all know this society is a filthy disgusting pool of std's.... so yeah, good luck with all of that.

I am not a fan of Paris Hilton and I don't think alot of the things she does is right but just to fill CAPRICE in-Paris does not represent WHITE people in general (that was just a racist remark coming from a hypocrite) and anyways its so sad that we let her "exist" what do you expect people to do, hang her? And why talk about representation, if we judged black people ONLY by the crimes that other blacks commit just where I live we would be THE MOST racist community you ever saw but that's why you don't judge a whole race of people by one's doings. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT... DEAL WITH IT!

Whether or not she understands the word lampoon is irrelevent. For a university as prestigious as Harvard to even lift her name up in effigy is seriously heartbreaking for me. My son attends Harvard's prep school in California and aspires to attend Harvard University. He works hard. He is extremely insightful and intelligent. He represents all the qualities necessary to becoming the kind of leader our world needs today. He now also has no desire to attend a school that would further shine light, negative or positive, on a young woman who represents nothing positive at all about young people today. He is also quite good looking, has a beautiful and intelligent girlfriend, and is nauseated by how young women lead with nothing more than their bodies yet want to be respected. Ms. Hilton, herself along with all of us, continue to pull ourselves down into disgusting, worthless, mindless, dialogue about her. I know the girl I have met her. She wanted to date my brother. Her quote to me one night when we were all out together, as my brother wouldn't be caught dead alone with her as he is extremely rich and famous internationally was; I don't usually find Black men attractive but I'd go 'there' with your brother. She, in her pee brain, thought this was a compliment! He and I laugh to this day about the complete idiocy and lack of education or proper up-bringing of this girl. The only place my brother wanted to go with her was potentially to his music video set to use her in a video and garner attention. He decided not to go even there as he figured his fans would feel betrayed by him even appearing to sink so low into the worst pop culture has to offer. I am a graduate if USC law school and a 'celebrity' myself and I strive always to represent people of color well. It was amazing to me to realize that white people don't strive to represent themselves well at all by allowing a young woman like this to exist. I find this young woman a pathetic reminder of all that is racist and raunchy and non intelligent in our country. For Harvard University to participate in any way shape or form in the stupidity that so threatens to lower our culture further into an abyss of which our young people will likely not return is a sad and tragic loss to the high hopes I held for my son's dream of becoming a Harvard Grad.

I think it's fantastic. She's been working really hard since she got out of prison and I really admire her. Apparently, she's giving a speech too! I live about six hours away from Boston and may make the drive to see her with my little daughter. She's a big fan :)
