Paris Hilton Devastated, Hiding Out at Home

Ever since Friday night’s arrest in Las Vegas, Paris Hilton has been laying low. Friends of the heiress say she’s “devastated” about the incident.

Sources tell E! she’s back in LA and spending time with her family, her pets and her boyfriend Cy Waits. "We're all hoping people will truly take seriously that she's innocent until proven guilty,” says one source.

And while there were reports Paris was being “banned” from club appearances because of the arrest, a source says her manager is fielding requests for her to host Labor Day parties this weekend for more than $100,000.

"They're trying to capitalize on press from the situation, but she's turning them all down and staying at home with Cy, her family and her pets," the source explained.

But Hilton isn’t interested, and knows that wouldn’t look good on her behalf. "She's taking this very seriously,” said the friend.

Aside from staying indoors, Paris has kept up her regular tweeting, reminding her fans that she loves them.

“I'm so thankful to all my fans for all the love and support you are giving me. Thank you all. Love you so much. Love Paris xoxo,” she wrote.

But with the supporters come the haters, whom Paris addressed as well, tweeting, “These rumors going around are so ridiculous, untrue and cruel. I'm not going to even pay attention to them, because I know the truth.”

We think Paris is doing exactly what she should be doing right now—staying out of the public eye. This will eventually blow over, just like every other Hollywood scandal.

UPDATE: Wynn spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne told the AP today that Hilton won't be allowed at two properties on Las Vegas Strip anymore, following her recent arrest for cocaine possession. Stay tuned for more updates!
