NBC Pulls Plug on Paris Interview

June 22, 2007

There were numerous reports circulating on the net that Paris Hilton was set to do an exclusive interview post jail with NBC and that she would pocket $1 million for it.

Well there are two problems with that story: first of all Paris already gave an interview to Ryan Seacrest for E! (She called him from jail) and second of all, NBC never had the deal inked.

Allison Gollust, Senior VP of NBC News Communications, told TMZ , "There's nothing to pull the plug on because we never committed to this."

The interview was supposed to air on "Today" with Meredith Vieira and was supposed to shoot in LA and edited in NYC.

Gollust said, "It can't be dead if it was never alive to begin with."

I'm thinking NBC is pissed off that Paris called Ryan from jail so they're pretending the deal was never set. What are your theories?

Emily DiGuglielmo you are a moron, you say 'leave her alone' and SHE CALLED RYAN SEACREST FROM JAIL!! Seems to me she doesn't want to be left alone. There are a 23432432 more people I'll feel sorry for before Paris Hilton...she worked very hard at becoming famous. She's a f--king loser!

Glad they cancelled it. She should not be rewarded for driving drunk and violating her probation. What this chick did was serious, she could have hurt or killed someone.

Why doon't the media and everyone else get over the whole Paris situation. Just leave the girl alone and let her do what she needs to do so she can learn her lesson and move on. She is not perfect. And neither is anyone else. So shut the hell up and stop criticising her. She was born rich and was always in an enviornment where she never had to deal with jails or anything of that nature. She is just a product of her upbringing. Aren't we all? So get a life and take a look at yourself and stop worrying about Paris. She will be fine.
