You gotta admit it, Paris Hilton is a freakin cash machine! She'll probably always be known for being a ditsy party girl, but the girl knows how to rake in the dough!
Paris and her Dad Rick picked dollars over friendship when they were shopping around Paris' first post jail interview, according to Barbara Walters.
Walters said she expected to score that first interview with Paris because she had talked to Paris from the slammer, and because Walters is a good friend of the Hilton's.
"I kinda figured I'd get the interview," Walters said on ABC's "The View." "It turns out there were other considerations." That's when NBC blew ABC out of the water with a big-money offer, Walters said.
It was first reported that NBC had agreed to pay the Hiltons $1 million for the first interview but then the network backed out due to 'public outrage.'
"NBC's was much more, and Rick Hilton said to me, 'You know I owe you one, and I'm sorry, but we're going to go with NBC,' " Walters recalled. Larry King eventually scored the first interview.
