HANS KLOK: Bisexual magician, born in Purmerend, a small village situated on the western side of Holland. After having received a simple toy store magic-box from his Grandfather on his 10th Birthday, Hans became increasingly fascinated by the mesmerizing world of magic and mystery. It didn't take too long before Hans suddenly found himself constantly being asked to perform with his box of magic tricks at local gatherings and the Birthday parties of his friends. After reaching the young age of only 14, and having practiced magic for the last four years, he then found himself traveling to Baden-Baden in Germany to compete in a magic competition, where he won and became the proud owner of the European Youth Magician Champion Trophy 1983. At 16 and already with a two year history of winning numerous awards throughout Europe for his achievements in magic, Hans had began busying himself more and more with the creation of new illusions. Together with his father, he started to think up, create and to build bigger and better illusions. Having had already brilliantly mastered the art of cungery and close-up magic, Hans moved swiftly on to the more greater things and was increasingly gaining a name for himself as a serious illusionist. Hans, now a well known international artist, continued performing his unique dynamic magic shows and had by now, at the age of 22, started to attract serious attention from other countries outside the borders of his homeland. He ventured on to team up with Holland's No 1 comedian; André van Duin, where they were to combine their talents as they toured a multitude of theatres, receiving national acclaim as being the best touring revue of that year. All this, plus the fact that Hans was later to create a second, more spectacular show for the Duinrell Park, had made him a national hero. After a short tour, together with popular Dutch singer Gerard Joling, and having had the last one and a half years of performing mainly in Holland, Hans had been given the time he had needed for the preparation of his second world domination attack. After meeting Siegfried and Roy during his second visit to Las Vegas, Hans found himself being constantly approached by numerous theater agents and managers from the USA. He was also recalled back to Germany, where he performed in the mega show; Der Grosse Künstler Preis, and in Holland the television hit; the Surprise Show. During the World Championship Magic in Dresden, Hans and his team received second prize. One of the highlights in 1997 was a taped television special performance in Monte Carlo for US station ABC. The show entitled Champions of Magic was presented by non other than Princess Stefanie of Monaco! Year 2000 saw the birth of the totally new theater show; Magic Impossible which travelled through Holland, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland. This spectacle was specially produced for Hans in Las Vegas and was to be responsible for him later receiving the German Entertainment Award. Hans also appeared in the widely acclaimed German Wetten Das TV show (one of the biggest television shows in Europe!) together with no one less than Madonna and The Backstreet Boys! The never ending belief and support from his father had made Hans Klok the illusionist second to none and his name now belonged to the higher levels, sharing a place with only the best in world entertainers. For Hans there could be no better way to enter the new millennium, yet even so, greater things were still to come. The fact that Hans could make people (or actually anything for that matter) appear miraculously out of thin air had not gone unnoticed. Celebrities had discovered a new and unique way of presenting themselves. Replacing the old way of walking on stage on cue, they could now make a bombastic entrance in a mass of smoke, mystery and magic as Hans would mystifyingly make them appear out of thin air. The Hans Klok Technical crew were suddenly convinced that they hadn't such a bad job after all was when Hans was asked to appear at the Playboy party to pull the monthly playmate from out of a magic box. If all this wasn't enough, Hans had still made time all the year round to do a lot of charity work, giving his support to Red Cross, Cliniclowns (for hospitalized children), Amnesty International and a multitude of other good causes. The end of the year 2001 saw Hans return again to Germany in Wolfsburg, where his popularity had by now way outgrown any expectations. The following day on the first of January, he returned home only to find himself on television at primetime on one of the best viewed programmes of that day: the Surprise Show.
