P. Diddy is the king of excess, so when he turned the big 4-0, he made sure his birthday was the most lavish bash anyone has seen in years.
Diddy celebrated the landmark day with Jay-Z, Bono, Nelly and Denzel Washington at the Garden of Eden-themed bash held at New York’s Plaza Hotel last Thursday and dropped $3 million dollars doing it in style.
So what did that $3 million get him? 500 guests, gallons of champagne, $30,000 worth of orchids, a black dance floor, special chandeliers and tons of silver confetti dropping from the ceiling.
A source said: “He really pushed the boat out for this one – and then some. It was an amazing party and Diddy was on great form.”
There was also a private performance from the American gospel singer Al Green.
