The Academy and mtvU are joining forces for their first ever “Oscar Correspondent Contest,” giving college journalists nationwide the chance to head to LA to cover red carpet festivities and backstage celebrations at the 81st Academy Awards on February 22nd.
Teams of two U.S. college students, one correspondent and one videographer, are invited to create a video showcasing their broadcast journalism skills.
Video entries may be submitted to mtvU.com between January 7 and January 23 and should be no more than two minutes in length.
After a final round of voting, the Grand Prize team will be revealed at an Academy press conference on Friday, February 20.
That team will receive a spot on the red carpet for the 81st Academy Awards arrivals as well as credentials for access to backstage press rooms. Good luck!
