Sexiest man alive Hugh Jackman is bringing some excitement and sexiness back to the Oscars with a musical opening that Mr. Oscar himself hasn’t seen in the past 81 years.

Jackman’s opening act included him singing about the nominated films, Slumdog Millionaire, Milk, The Reader, The Wrestler and a surprise performance with Anne Hathaway for “Frost/Nixon.”

Even in this bleak economy, the stars will be dressing to the nines in their designer duds to walk the red carpet at the Oscars this Sunday. Exactly one year after Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, he received a posthumous Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of The Joker in "The Dark Knight."

The 81st Academy Awards nominations were announced today at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater, and boy is this year going to be exciting!

Heath Ledger received a posthumous Best Supporting Actor nomination for his brilliant performance in 'The Dark Knight.'

Leonardo DiCaprio got snubbed by the Academy and didn't receive a nomination for his role in 'Revolutionary Road' but his co-star Kate Winslet scored a Best Actress nod for her performance in 'The Reader'.

When Vanity Fair magazine canceled its legendary party last year, rumors flew that they had issues with the new location being stark and simply too far away from the ceremony itself.

Stars and fans wondered if there would ever be another one. Get out your party hats because it's back! Yesterday, VF announced that the next Oscar party would be hosted at the Sunset Tower, a smaller but gorgeous venue.
